We’re Mary and Reah, two sisters whose lives have always been immersed in books. From childhood, stories were more than just entertainment; they were adventures we could share, secrets we could whisper to each other across the room, the voices of our parents, and windows into lives and worlds beyond our own.

Over the years, our love of stories grew into a love of reading. We spent late nights turning pages and falling in love with characters, later debating endings and swapping recommendations like precious treasures. Our shared passion planted a seed: the dream of creating a place where readers could feel at home, explore new stories, and discover the magic we’ve always found in books.

That dream became Willow Books. For now, it lives online, connecting readers with books through our partnership with Bookshop.org. But even without walls or shelves of our own, Willow Books is meant to feel personal, cozy, and alive — like a quiet corner of the world where books, ideas, and people meet.

Mary has been a lifelong reader, and her love of stories has been with her from the very beginning. When she's not busy caring for everyone else, she can often be found curled up on the couch with a good book. Her comfort read is Harry Potter, which she holds closest to her heart. Mary is also a devoted fan of Jodi Picoult and loves books that make her think, feel, and sometimes even cry. She enjoys sharing stories that've stayed with her over the years, hoping they’ll find a special place in someone else’s heart too. 

 Reah has been wrapped up in stories for as long as she can remember, both as a reader and as a writer. She is a published author herself. When she isn’t writing, advocating, or spending time with her family, she can be found lost in a book, often reaching for the rich, immersive worlds of her favorite author, Pat Conroy. A devoted wife and mother, Reah loves sharing stories that move her, spark conversation, and stay with readers long after the final page.
